PUBLIC NOTICE
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Oxford, Mississippi, will receive sealed bids for the following project:
OUT FACILITY TRAINING ROOM
The City of Oxford is seeking bids from qualified contractors for the construction of a new second floor within an existing two-story volume of the OUT Facility building to accommodate a training room and offices. The project is located at 409 McElroy Drive, Oxford, Mississippi 38655.
The construction drawings and technical specifications are available at www.oxfordmsbids.com. Bidders should download and review the plans and specifications through the City’s bid portal in order to be added to the plan holders list.
A pre-bid meeting will be held at City Hall on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a site walk-through. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged, but not required, to attend.
Sealed bids will be received until 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
Bids may be submitted by hand delivery, U.S. Mail, or electronic submission at www.oxfordmsbids.com.

The outside of the envelope shall be clearly marked “OUT Facility Training Room – Bid Proposal.”
Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid. Bids submitted without the required bid security will be considered unresponsive. Bid bonds may be submitted electronically. Certified checks must be delivered in person or by mail.
Bidders shall comply with applicable Mississippi laws governing contractor licensing and Certificates of Responsibility. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required of the successful bidder.
