SUMMONS
THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI
TO: All persons having or claiming any interest in the following described land, located in Section 16, Township 8 South, Range 3 West, Lafayette County, Mississippi, viz: the restrictive covenant contained in the Warranty Deed dated May 22, 1978, from E.L. Christman and Alice Wilma Christman to Jimmy L. Lunn, recorded in Book 334 at Page 426 of the land records of the Lafayette County, Mississippi, Chancery Clerk.
You have been made a Defendant in the suit filed in this Court by Curtis Brad Allen, Plaintiff, seeking to confirm tax title in the above-referenced land. Defendants other than you in this action are: Larry Christman and Patricia Christman Vinson.
You are required to mail or hand deliver a written response to the Complaint filed against you in this action to M. Reed Martz, Attorney for Plaintiff(s), whose post office and street address is Freeland Martz, PLLC, 302 Enterprise Dr., Ste. A, Oxford, MS 38655.
YOUR RESPONSE MUST BE MAILED OR DELIVERED NOT LATER THAN THIRTY DAYS AFTER THE 20th DAY OF MAY 2026, WHICH IS THE DATE OF THE FIRST PUBLICATION OF THIS SUMMONS. IF YOUR RESPONSE IS NOT SO MAILED OR DELIVERED, A JUDGMENT BY DEFAULT WILL BE ENTERED AGAINST YOU FOR THE MONEY OR OTHER RELIEF DEMANDED IN THE COMPLAINT.
YOU ARE SUMMONED TO APPEAR AND DEFEND AGAINST SAID COMPLAINT OR PETITION AT 9:30 O’CLOCK A.M. ON THE 13th DAY OF JULY 2026, IN THE COURTROOM OF THE TIPPAH COUNTY COURTHOUSE AT RIPLEY, MISSISSIPPI, AND IN CASE OF YOUR FAILURE TO APPEAR AND DEFEND A JUDGMENT WILL BE ENTERED AGAINST YOU FOR THE MONEY OR OTHER THINGS DEMANDED IN THE COMPLAINT OR PETITION.
You must also file the original of your Response with the Clerk of this Court within a reasonable time afterward.
